Hang out with Ellie for about 5 minutes and you'll see what I meant when I said that she lives out loud.
Tonight @ Blockbuster-
She walks in wearing her Santa hat, safety goggles and a deadpan expression. Not trying to be funny; just being herself. She has an honest affinity for goggles of any kind.
What totally got me, though, was when she walked by the movie Step Brothers, and noticed the guy on the cover (Will Ferrell)... she declared with complete sincerity...(while still wearing her safety goggles and santa hat):
"This guy is the greatest actor of all time."
"What?" I asked "Him?"
"Oh yeah," she replied...
"He played Buddy in the movie Elf!"

Oh my goodness!! I howled just reading the first line and seeing the picture!! TOO funny!! What a difference between your kiddos; it's so interesting how differently each is wired, huh? What reaction did she get among the other patrons of the local Blockbuster?? :-)
I love her spunk! That is awesome. Let me know the next time you are headed to bbuster - I might have to see this in person. :)
ROFL!!! That's classic!
She and Courtney would get along great. Courtney wears reindeer antlers everywhere! LOL!
That's my Ellie!!! Nana
Girl's got great taste, haha (well, maybe not the Will Ferrell part). Too cute.
She is too cute! I love it!
And, by the way...we are pretty much Buddy-addicts these days. Sam just can't get enough of his sillyness!
She cracks me up! She looks so serious about her glasses. Love the photos.
Hey, have you seen his stuff on Mad TV? He is ooops, I think I'm gonna pee my pants material. I'm not not sure about the best actor, but the funniest maybe so!
This is my favorite story I've heard from you! She seems a lot like my daughter Amber. I think they would get along great!
I felt as though you summed it all up about Courtney (and maybe Catelyn, but we'll see) when you said "live out loud". Courtney definately does. She had a Christmas program today and she was singing loud, dancing, and talking some during it. It was HILARIOUS! I know it was probably extra funny because its MY kid, but other people were laughing and talking about her as well. She was told that she stole the show. I thought of your post about how your kids "live out loud" and felt as though that applied to Courtney as well! I love that you let her wear that hat and glasses out in public! Thats great! I too, like Will Ferrell and the movie ELF! hehehehe Keep on lettin' her live out loud--there's a reason for it that has to do with her future!
