Wordless Wednesday, Yeah Right

I really stink at Wordless Wednesday! Absolutely terrible, I tell you. I think I'm going to have to quit it, because I can't stop the words from coming out!!! Wordless isn't in my vocabulary!!! Maybe I should change it to Tell-the-Whole-Story Thursday, which makes sense, since Wednesday is almost over anyway!

**Why is this child SMILING!? She has a comb completely twirled into her hair. Totally stuck. She doesn't know the pain she will be going through to remove it or she wouldn't be smiling quite so big. Amazingly, no scissors were required for its extraction.

**Here is Kami going up in a cherry picker. A cherry picker! For goodness sake! And look how high she is! Why go to the fair when your neighbor gives you free rides on his cherry picker!? I don't have a picture of it, but she went up even higher! **Ok, Ok... I'll leave this last one.... wordless... I think you get the picture!!!

Popcicles: $2.00, Scooter: $25.00, Swingset: $500.00, Summertime Fun: Priceless

Random thoughts about June just being days away:
*The treats on the ice cream truck aren't quite the deal they were when we were little.
*You can never have too much sidewalk chalk.
*Ditto for popcicles.
*Ditto for bandaids.
*Peer pressure works when it comes to taking off training wheels.
*Except if you are Ellie.
*You may see the fashion princess Hadley in 4 or 5 different outfits on any given day.
*Our cul-de-sac is like a huge playroom.
*15 kids in a cul-de-sac is a great number.
*Luke MUST HAVE a nerf gun for his birthday... before he drives the neigbors crazy trying to use theirs!!!

Girlfriends

When we moved in our cul-de-sac, these two (Lilli & Sarah) were Kami's age (see pics below). They seemed so grown up at the time, but now, almost 4 years later it's hard to believe they are on the verge of bursting into teenagehood!!! What's nice is that they still like to visit us and play with all the kiddos. They read books to them, fix their hair, play board games, computer games, hide and seek, and give piggy back rides. Here they are with Ellie and her friend Brooke.

Ready for School?

There is not much that K likes to do more than to ride around our cul-de-sac on her bike. On this night, lots of neighbors were out enjoying the cloud cover and sprinkles. It's hard to believe that 3rd grade starts in only two days!
