Fun on the Frozen Tundra

Needless to say, the kids had a blast over the last 3 days of no school. What can I say except I fixed a lot of hot chocolate, washed a lot of clothes, dealt with lost gloves, have a huge heap of white stuff on my shady front step, had a blast sledding with friends, told Ellie that she could stop sleeping with her PJs on inside out and backwards and WAS VERY GLAD that school was back in on Friday!!!

Glad Ellie got her snow! Great pictures! That is a lot of snow by T-town standards, isn't it?

Great shots Annie! Your kids look like they are having a blast! Your hill was much better than the little one in our backyard. I won't show my kids they might have hill envy! lol

I like looking at other peoples pics of the ice storm, and even pics of it around here close sometimes, but when I look here close to my house all I see is destruction....we lost 37 trees 2 years ago in that ice storm, so we didnt have too many to lose this time around. However the roads in my area that lead to Highway 10 and Highway 10 itself were impassable due to the sheer volume of broken trees in the road. Anyone else remember when we were kids here in OK we didnt have horrible ice storms like this. I don't remember but one bad one like this and it would have been around 84-85 cause I think I was in 8th grade. I remember snow, massive amounts of snow in 76-77 and again around 81, and 87-88, but it sure wasnt an every year kind of thing and it was snow....not ice.

Love your pictures!

Ya know, every time it "snows" and the littles want to go out and play, I am so exhausted by the time we get all bundled up that I'm almost too cranky to play!
