It's How She's Wired

I've been thinking a lot about Kami while she's been away in North Carolina. Here she about 9 years ago. Wow.

Out of my 3 kids, you hear a lot about the (mis) adventures of Luke and the wild ways of Elle Belle, but Kami may be a bit neglected on this blog.....

As Luke and Ellie live their lives out loud....

so Kami goes along in her quiet way, making little waves....

but what she is making is.....
purposeful decisions
goals with determination
wise choice of friends
good grades
as little drama as possible
competitive moves
a choice to be the best she can be

It's amazing at 10 to have this outlook.... (I still strain to be these things myself!)

But I do believe it comes naturally to her... a gift to her from God!

I remind her a lot though her abilities seem "natural," she should not forget that without Him, she could not accomplish anything... and never to take for granted what she has... but to thank God for each and every positive event that happens..,

-all good and perfect things are from above....

I clicked on Kami's blog label: Queen Kamryn the First, and it was fun to see what I saw. I had to pull some of the pictures from the last couple of years... because they are so typically... Kami.

I love the way you characterized your children: two living their lives out loud, and your oldest just quietly making waves...love it!

It sounds like your lovely girl has her head on straight and has figured out much of what life is about!

How sweet! I'm the only one from my family who doesn't live so "out loud" (believe it or not!) so I get it!

Sounds like your daughter is a lot like mine. She is also the oldest. I hope she is having a great time on her trip. I can't imagine how hard that would be for Grace to leave on her own on a trip. It sounds like she is very responsible. I bet she was so excited. :)

You were brave to send her off but it was for a short time and she was going to family. She will be sure to post her trip to her blog. It's wonderful how God gave you time to reflect on your quite Kami. Reading your posts made me think of my Will who is overlooked much of the time as he is content and independent. I an motivated to spend "special" moments with him now even more than before. Love you, friend, KIM

I tell ya, you are gifted with words! That's for sure. Your writing is so eloquent. My mom writes like that as well.

I loved learning more about your Kamryn! I hope my Camryn turns out to be as sweet.

And, did Baloney say she was quiet??? LOL! I hope the weather cooperates this week because we are planning on meeting for coffee!

Sometime in January Michelle and I are going to put together a local blogger lunch. I hope you'll be able to make it. :)

OH Wow! I marvel at how fascinating and creative our God is!

How He makes each of our children so unique.

I JUST posted on Sophie...that sooo not getting "Mom of the Year" award...

I'm blessed as I read this. I'm reminded that He chose to make our children with unique personalities that have such potential for Him.

Keep sharing...

Lovin' it!

What a beautiful tribute to Kami. I have a feeling she won't grasp the magnitude of your sweet words for many, many years.
